An Alabama House committee held a public hearing Tuesday on a bill intended to provide Birmingham-Southern College a $30 million state loan.
The House Ways and Means Education Committee heard from Birmingham-Southern President Daniel Coleman and from Rev. Keith Thompson, chairman of the college’s board of trustees, who urged lawmakers to approve the bill.
